Then, once your primary policy has paid what it covers,
NAMBA’s secondary policy goes into effect. This would cover
such things as deductibles or amounts over the policy limits, etc.
If you do not have health insurance of any kind, NAMBA’s
policy covers you the same as if it were a primary policy. There
are of course deductibles on both of these coverages. $500 on
the liability coverage, and $100 on the personal accident
coverage. However in the past, NAMBA has been able to pick
up the cost of these deductibles, and we assume we will continue
to do so in the future as long as funds permit.
As you can see, your NAMBA insurance provides you with
the best protection available through any of the model boating
organizations. Hopefully, you will never have to make use of
this coverage, but if you do, you can be assured that you are
covered. Continued availability of this exceptional coverage is
of course to some degree up to you. Make sure that you are
aware of all of the safety regulations, and use common sense in
your running. Preventative medicine is always better than
having to resort to a cure. By avoiding needless accidents, we
can insure that the coverage will be available when really
needed.
Greetings From District One
By Dennis Probst. Jr
District One Director
I am pretty sure by the time many of you read this, we should
be having warmer weather outside ... I hope! But for now, as I
am writing this, it is only 21 degrees outside and I am staring out
my window nose marked from my Bernese
mountain dog named Blizzard. Thanks boy!
I am longing to go hang with my friends
and run RC boats. However, with a wind chill
somewhere in the single digits, it is going to be
a while before that happens. It does give me
plenty of time to do inside things that need to
be done and not just hobbies. I just try and not
to make the list too long. Ha ha! This is my
plan any way because as soon as the weather
breaks, I am out of here!
Prior to the District One banquet held in
March, our district clubs met to go over
business, ideas for next season, and mostly to
have some fun. One such club is the one that I
belong to. The Del Val R/C Model Power Boat
Club. Our club has had a lot of growth in the
past few years which is a plus for any club.
At our club meeting a really cool thing
happened. One of our members was awarded a
trophy but not just any trophy. This one was
huge in size and very appropriate for what it
was for. Club member Joel St. Hilaire, aka
The
Buoy Slayer
, received a cool trophy for the
most buoys hit at our lake through out the
summer on fun run days. Congratulations to
Joel and to all our District One Champions. I
look forward to the 2015 season and just can
not wait to see everyone at the lake again.
