            April 2016 Rule Proposal Results

            NAMBA Executive Secretary

This past April the NAMBA membership voted on two

proposals. One was to increase the size of the GX Twin cubic

centimeter maximum displacement from 53 to 54 cubic

centimeters for the twin motor class or motor with two

cylinders. That proposal did pass with 77 Yes votes and 24 No

          votes.

The other proposal dealt with allowing exposed exhaust

systems for gas sport hydroplanes. A rule that would be

inserted in the Gas section of the NAMBA rule book. That

proposal passed with 91 Yes votes and 16 No votes.

You can print the updated pages from the NAMBA web

site if you so desire. All members will receive updates for their

rule book in April of 2017.

every August at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe,

In quoting Mike Cathie, “I can not think of anything better

we could have done to generate more interest in the hobby for

a $100 display fee. We were on our feet for eight to nine hours

talking to people and firing up a boat from time to time.

Several people were very interested in our boats and said

they would attend a race to check it out.”
