October 2015
Hello From District One
Dennis Probst. Jr
District One Director
I wanted to share this great
news from Team Giant Power
Batteries on their newest
sponsored racer. Special thanks
to District One model boater
Anthony Verdura for bringing
this to my attention. On behalf
of everyone in District One we
are so proud of Ava
Paganelli.
We now have a very
talented young lady boat racer
on the team. Miss Ava
Paganelli is a 14 year old
second generation FE boat
racer from New York. Ava is
the daughter of well known
multiple NAMBA National
Championship winner "Mad Mike" Paganelli.
This young lady started racing boats at the age of eight. Ava raised some eyebrows
at the 2014 FE NAMBA Nationals in Detroit, Michigan outdriving some of the best
FE boat racers in the nation. She ran some great heats in the Arizona Winter Warm Up
races earlier this year beating up on the established racers. That sealed the deal in our
eyes.
Ava did a fantastic job at the 2015 Michigan Cup Race. She won the coveted "Mr.
Offshore" trophy for most laps completed in all three offshore classes. Now we have to
come up with a new name for that trophy. Miss Paganelli also won the hugely popular
P-Limited Mono class beating out 30 other talented racers from the U.S.A and Canada.
To top it off, she also earned a couple of podium finishes in the other FE classes.
Great job Ava and welcome to the team!

June 2015:
MANSFIELD HOLLOW
Hard to believe, but here it is 2015
and the first race of the year is June
6. The Greater Hartford Model Boat
Club is ready to go and looking forward
to hosting what will hopefully be a high
boat count event. After the winter we just
went through, a little warmth and running
some boats on the water is just the ticket
on a June Saturday. Watson Coburn and
