Dear NaƟonals Contestants,
I would like to personally welcome you to the 2016 NAMBA NaƟonals. I
am so glad that you are able to join us for the 45
th
annual running of this
great race!
The last Ɵme the NaƟonals were held in Wichita, Kansas was in 1988. I
spoke with a couple of racers that were at that event and they offered me
some advice, “when the tornado warning sirens sound, do what the local
guys are doing. They will know what to do and where to go!” So keep
your eyes and ears open everyone.
I have been fortunate enough to have raced all over the country, and
while I have always enjoyed the racing part of it, the most enjoyable part
for me about the NaƟonals is the people. It is an opportunity to spend
Ɵme with people that we don’t get to see the rest of the year. So make
sure you get around and see everyone, because it’s the people you spend
Ɵme with and the new friends you make that will be your fondest memo-
ries.
While we are all here trying to win a NaƟonal championship, and the race
commiƩee is doing everything possible to host this great event, it is sƟll
up to each and every racer to show good sportsmanship and most of all
have fun. So let’s all do our part and make it a great Ɵme for everyone!
