R/C Modeleers To Host 2015 NAMBA Nationals

2015 NAMBA Nationals Contest Director
The Folsom R/C Modeleers of District 9 are proud to
present the 2015 NAMBA Nationals for Nitro and Gas.
The dates will be July 11-18, 2015 at Lake Minden Thousand
Trails Resort in Nicolaus, California. Saturday the 11th will be
setup day with open water available in the afternoon. Sunday
the 12th will be open water testing all day. Racing will
commence on Monday the 13th through Saturday the 18th
followed by the awards banquet at the host hotel.

The host hotel will be the Lexington Suites and Inn in Yuba
City, California. The address location is 4228 Highway 99, Yuba City, California. It is located about 18 minutes from the race site.

For those wanting to stay at Lake Monden, Contact Sonia at (530) 656-2700 Thursday through Saturday. Rates for reserve site
water and electricity are $42.00 per night, and for dry camping right near the pit area, the cost is $25.00 per night. There are a
limited number of sites available. Check out the site map as the race pits are Section B and site camping is in Section D.
Race week activities are currently in the works as well as what classes will run on what days. The California State Fair will be in
full swing during the week and we are working on an evening riverboat cruise down the Sacramento River. At the race site, we will
have human paddleboat races and night time R/C boat racing. We will light up the buoys and you will light up your boats. Other
activities on site are a dirt R/C car track, miniature golf, and a basketball court. For you golfers, we have a driving range where we
will hold a longest drive competition. In the same vicinity, we have an R/C plane area and we will also have float plane activities.
The paddleboat races and barbeque will move their way over to the host hotel.
If that is not enough for you, in Old Sacramento is the railroad museum and just 18 miles away is Thunder Valley Casino. There
are also multiple wineries in the area to visit.
