And if it’s not a perfect day, then there is always tomorrow, or the next Straight
Line Event!
It all depends on the boat god’s and how much they are smiling on you for
the day!
Or better yet: How much you work and test and strive to become better then you
were, and to,” take all that has happened in stride!”
And to also hope you are not the one on the cell phone, calling around for a scuba
diver to retrieve your sunken boat out of the lake, of which there are many still down
there floating around, bumping into each other, looking up to the sky as another
remote controlled model boat comes flying buy!
And I bet you thought you were done didn’t you? Now comes the bench racing at
the restaurant!
A Special Thank you, to Tyler Garrard for the pictures he provided of SAW Events
and to all of the participants that travel from near and far to attend these events.
Mark Grim (right) who has hosted NAMBA Time Trials and set many records chats
with District 19 boaters Henry Velasco (middle) and Don Garrard (left)
District Nine model boater Jim Wilson
Scott Bouchie with his outrigger powered
by a scratch built … 21 cc motor!
Thom Hammer from Las Vegas
Back from the early days .. Gene Adams
