We would really enjoy having people who are not in our area stop by and compete for a day or two at an event. The events are posted under events on our District site and Facebook was well as on NAMBA.com . Be like Don Maher from District 19 who came up with others to run some classes as did members from District 9 at a District 19 event. Don relished in his 1st Place podium photo and we are plenty happy to share podium space for our friends who come to visit. We also have our annual District Flyers ready to go for spectators as well as placement in local hobby stores or whomever our members would like to invite to learn more about what NAMBA and District 9 have to offer. PROPWASH 20 April 2020 One noteworthy event each years is the 5th Annual Jim Wilson Toys for Tots Charity Race which, in 2020, is hosted by Diane Wilson as Contest Director and leader of the Wave Masters club started by her late husband Jim. All profits from the race, raffle ticket revenue, and donations go directly to Toys for Tots and 2019 saw the best contributions so far. These charitable events become even more successful when we reach out to the community for assistance and, for District 9, S & A Collectables donated an amazing amount of items and, with items brought by our members, did a nice job of filling up the back of a truck. This is what being a member of the NAMBA community is all about!
