The events are posted under events on our district site and Facebook was well as on NAMBA.com. District 9 race sites are located in or near some of the most amazing destinations in the United States including Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Yosemite, Monterey, and Napa and each site is located near commercial airports. Bring a boat in that golf bag and we’ve got your back for tables and equipment you might need and then head out and have some fun in our area. Don’t wait for the Propwash to find out what’s up @D9! Follow us on Facebook (@RCBoating) and Instagram (NAMBA_D9). Happy boating and the best of luck to all in 2019. The Best Place for Boats is @9! I Got My NAMBA Sticker By Tony Ojeda (aka The Pit Boss) NAMBA District 9 After receiving my NAMBA sticker included with my 2019 membership card I contacted the NAMBA Vice President and he was kind enough to send me a few more stickers for my boats. I have an Ira Cotton sport hull that I won the District 9 Sport 40-1 Championship in 2006. I have since repainted and retrofitted it to run in the P Ltd Sport Hydro class. Here is a picture of my boat that I thought I would share with you with the new NAMBA vinyl stickers. The 2018 District Championship Points Series provided some exciting racing at our three venues (Lake Minden north of Sacramento, Kaiser Cove in Fremont, and Roberts Lake in Seaside). Participation from the members of the District keeps climbing increasing the number of boats in some classes. All told 13 heat racing records were set in District 9 during the 2018 racing season on top of the GX-2 Crackerbox record set by Alan Terry at the 2018 Nationals: A Mod Tunnel: Chris Wittrig B Hydro: Tommy Levescy then Chris Wittrig Sport 21: Brad Tuttle Sport 40-II: Chris Wittrig G-1 Mono: Joe Slaney GX-2 Outrigger: Alan Terry G-1 Sport Hydro: Chris Emard G-1 Catamaran: Chris Emard G-1 Crackerbox: Paul Martin Classic Thunderboat: Jesse Alvitre P Sport Hydro: Chris Emard P LTD Sport Hydro: Chris Emard There was some incredible racing all the way through the 2018 season and many points battles came down to the last event.
