In Memory of … In June of this year we lost long time model boater Joe Monohan. Joe got in to model boating in the early seventies. He became a NAMBA member in 1976 and continued membership in to this year. Joe loved radio controlled airplanes, drones and especially model boat racing. He was especially known for his nitro outboard tunnel hull racing winning numerous championships over the years. When you think of Joe, you think of his signature black Elvira “Mistress of the Dark” boat. He was “707 Specialties” providing the model boating world with anything and everything related to outboard racing. Joe Monohan was inducted in to the NAMBA Hall of Fame in 2006 for his contributions with R and D work for K& B engines, his many championships, and contributions to keep outboards in the model boating mainstream. We will miss you Joe!
